 Birchwood Residence
is the only Assisted Living Facility
on Long Island that offers a licensed
"Adult Day Care" program. 
 

 

This service is offered to those seniors who need or desire the amenities of Birchwood only during the day, whatever level you need or desire:
Functional Senior Adults
Frail Elderly
Alzheimer's & Memory Disorder
Physically Challenged
Occupational and Physical Outpatient Rehabilitation

Birchwood extends its high standards through Day Care and Respite services.

This program is offered on a daily to a 7 day a week basis,
8:00 am to 6:00 pm or less hours if requested.

This program includes
1-3 nourishing meals daily 
Specially designed area for Alzheimer's care
A Full Recreational Program
Help with activities of daily living; i.e., bathing & hygiene
Special Diet Accommodations
Medication Management
Birchwood Wellness Staff including in-house Nurses, regular visiting Medical Doctor, Podiatrist, Chiropractor, Eye Doctor, Hearing Specialist, Psychiatrist and Psychologist
Physical Therapy / Occupational Therapy on-site

Fees are based on amount of days utilized.

RESPITE

 Birchwood offers short stays for those residents whose stay is less than 30 days.  This is ideal for family members who are caring for their loved one that may need
a brief respite themselves.

Birchwood is one of only two facilities in Suffolk County approved for County funding for a respite program.
